How much will my tattoo cost?

Pricing depends on size, complexity and placement of the tattoo. Let me know if you have a budget and we can work with that!  My base pricing starts at:

  • $400 for a hand size tattoo
  • $250 for a palm size tattoo
  • Larger projects at $100 an hour 
 
These prices are a starting point. Complexity and placement can increase the price. We will discuss the price before we schedule the tattoo so you know exactly what to expect. I don’t charge by the hour.

What do I need to do to schedule my tattoo?

I require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 1/2 the total price of the tattoo, to book the day of your appointment. If you are wanting a consultation before booking the tattoo let me know in your message and I will give you a call! I will not start your design until the deposit is paid.

When will I see my design?

If I am creating a custom tattoo for you, you will see the design on the day of your appointment, we will sit and talk about it and make any adjustments if needed. If you are wanting a more hands on approach, there is a design fee of $300, I will send you the design 3 days before your appointment and we can do 2 rounds of revisions.

What do I need to know to be prepared for my appointment?

  • Be well rested (get enough sleep the night before)
  • Eat a hearty meal prior to your tattoo appointment
  • Drink lots of water and stay hydrated, both before, during, and after your appointment.
  • Shower before your appointment (and we promise we will too).
  • Don’t come in drunk or high.
  • Don’t apply any numbing agents or oily skin topicals before your appointment.
  • We will always shave the area being tattooed the day of. There is no need to shave the area beforehand as ingrown hairs and razorburn can cause unecessary issues.
  • PRO TIP: When you get to the shop for your appointment, please do not place any items on your tattoo artists’ tray. This is for cleanliness and sterility purposes. There will be a designated area for you to place your belongings.

Deposit Agreement

This NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is a guarantee that you will show up on the agreed time and date for your appointment with Gustavo Zelaya. 

  • A deposit is required for each appointment date you wish to reserve. This deposit will be subtracted from the final price of each corresponding appointment.
  • Deposits can be accepted via Venmo or in person cash ONLY.
  • Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. 
  • Should you need to reschedule your appointments) for any reason, please make sure to do so NO LESS THAN 3 DAYS before your set consultation date (or, your soonest appointment date, if no consultation has been set). If you fail to do so, you will forfeit your deposit and be required to make another deposit in order to reschedule.
  • You are allowed up to (1) reschedule. After that your deposit must be forfeited and a new deposit must be placed in order to secure a new appointment date.
  • If you fail to show up to your appointment, you will forfeit your deposit and be required to make another deposit in order to reschedule. You will also be required to re-submit your inquiry during our next booking period. 
  • lf, for any reason (including but not limited to: illness, government mandated closures, personal emergencies, ect), the artist must reschedule your appointment, your deposit will be honored and transferred to a new appointment date without penalty.
  • If, in the event that you may be running late to your scheduled appointment time, notice must be given so the shop can plan accordingly. Your appointment time will be given to you after a deposit has been made and your booking dates confirmed. 
  • This does not supersede the above rescheduling policy and is only applicable in the event you are more than 10 minutes late to your scheduled appointment time.
  • If you are more than 1 hour late to your scheduled appointment time your appointment must be rescheduled and your deposit for that day will be forfeited.
    • In order to schedule a new appointment date a new, separate deposit must be provided.
 

Gustavo reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, regardless of the status of their deposit. By agreeing in the booking request, you have read and agreed to all aforementioned terms, and agree to be present on the date of the consultation and appointment set by the artist and or the artist’s management.
